Plymouth, MA May 21, 2014 RE/MAX Spectrum, with offices in Pembroke and Plymouth, is pleased to announce that it has merged with RE/MAX Classic, with three offices located in Eastham, Fairhaven and Marstons Mills.  Broker/Owner Mike Guimares will run the locations that will operate under the name RE/MAX Spectrum, supported by 64 full-time Agents. This is Guimares’ fifth office opening since 2011 with continued plans for expansion.

“Our can-do culture is paramount at RE/MAX Spectrum and RE/MAX Classic already possesses the team-oriented, support-model we value, making it the perfect fit for a merger,” said Guimares, Broker/Owner of RE/MAX Spectrum. “We are pleased to offer an entrepreneurial work environment for our Agents and to expand our reach to service clients throughout southeastern Massachusetts and along Cape Cod.”

Nick and Paul Helgesen, co-owners of RE/MAX Classic, will remain as part of the team, working at RE/MAX Spectrum to ensure a smooth transition and continued growth. “We couldn’t be more thrilled to be working with Mike on this merger. I am confident that Mike’s business acumen and leadership track record will prove to build the strength of our company and position it for continued growth,” said Nick Helgesen.

Guimares opened his first RE/MAX office in 2011 with zero Agents and within one year grew to eight. Using a selective recruitment approach and encouraging a collaborative work environment, he has grown to 64 full-time Agents in less than three and a half years. He has a unique skill set having a management and financial consulting background before becoming involved in real estate. Guimares has been a licensed REALTOR in Massachusetts since 2004, acquiring his Broker’s license in 2009. In January of 2014, he acquired Seagate Properties in Plymouth and incorporated that office into the RE/MAX Spectrum family.

“Mike is in a great position to further build RE/MAX’s leadership in the South Shore and on the Cape,” said Dan Breault, Executive Vice President and Regional Director of RE/MAX of New England. “This merger marks the first of many steps forward in growing our business and servicing an even wider array of clients in these important regions.”
