Cape Cod Biofuels rolls out Fuel Delivery Division

Cape Cod Biofuels today announced the launch of a fuel delivery division and will begin delivering its bio-diesel blend of home heating oil to homes and businesses across Cape Cod immediately. The Sandwich-based company has purchased a delivery truck with a 2,800 gallon capacity and plans to expand the fleet in the coming year.

Since its inception in 2008, Cape Cod Biofuels has been picking up waste cooking oil from restaurants, recycling it into biofuel, and selling it to local home heating oil distributors. “This allows us to bring our business full circle,” said Andy Davison, Cape Cod Biofuels Co-Founder. “As consumers become more conscious of how their decisions impact the environment, we’re seeing an increased demand for biofuels, which burn cleaner, are safer and are more environmentally sound.”

Cape Cod Biofuels produces up to 6,000 gallons of biodiesel weekly at its plant. The company projects that its biofuel will cost approximately five to ten cents less per gallon than traditional oil. The biofuel contains a twenty percent blend of biodiesel. While many states mandate a partial blend (New York, for example, requires a five percent biodiesel blend), Massachusetts does not currently have a mandate in place.
