Cape Cod Green Drinks is a local chapter of an international organization dedicated to eco-conscious networking, led by Hyannis business owners and since 2009.

As organizers of monthly Green Drinks events highlighting local green businesses and organizations, Converse and Villa wanted to take the Green Drinks concept to another level for Earth Day.

“The Cape's entire way of life is based upon the natural environment remaining beautiful and intact. Earth Day is a reminder to be thankful for all the resources the Earth provides us,” said Converse. “With this fun and educational event, we are bringing eco-friendly business and eco-friendly non-profit organizations together under one roof to show people how much the Cape has to offer in terms of a green community.”

Converse owns the Hyannis and serves on the Board of Directors of the Cape Cod Young Professionals. What's more, she has helped more than 150 local businesses complete steps toward their “green” certification through her organization Cape & Islands Green.
