The new role is aimed at creating family sustaining jobs on Cape Cod.

The Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce announced in a press release that Peter Karlson was named as the Chamber's Entrepreneur in Residence. This affiliation will support the Chamber’s goal of creating and retaining family-sustaining jobs on Cape Cod.

Karlson will work with the Cape Cod Chamber’s Economic & Community Development pillar to further its strategic plan and will be a resource to business owners, organizations and collaborators.  Karlson will help design, provide and promote technical assistance and intervention based on business survey results, oversee Entrepreneurs’ Weekend Boot Camp this fall and Weekend 4.0 next spring, provide guidance and technical assistance to the Entrepreneur Resource System and engage with the SmarterCape Partnership on the innovation economy initiatives. He will also promote and assist in the development of a Cape business sites database, and help establish a Cape Cod Gross Domestic Product.

Karlson founded NeuEon in 2004 and has been an integral part of the economic landscape of Cape Cod ever since.  He has participated in town and county committees, served on numerous boards and has been a good corporate citizen.  Karlson and his company have provided strategic guidance to a variety of entities both on and off-Cape.
