Cotuit Man Arrested on Warrants, Car Break-In

The following information was provided by the Barnstable Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, they do not indicate conviction.

Barnstable Police arrested a Cotuit man on Saturday after receiving a report from a local resident that someone had been breaking into his vehicle.

Upon arrival, police determined, based on a witness description and investigation of the scene, the suspect to be Ronald Lavallee, 24, of Cotuit, who allegedly had warrants out for his arrest from unrelated cases, according to a Barnstable police announcement

Police responded to Lavallee's residence and discovered him to fit the description given to police by the witness of the car break-in. Police arrested Lavallee on the warrants issued. While being booked at the Barnstable Police Department, Lavallee allegedly told police that he had been drinking and broke into the car earlier in the evening but denied taking anything from the vehicle, according to the BPD statement.
