The CapeFlyer train is catching on, according to a recent Boston Globe report.
Since the service between Boston and Hyannis began on Memorial Day weekend, nearly 9,000 passengers have taken the new train, which made a trial run on Saturday, May 18.
Revenue from ticket sales has covered the $165,000 annual operation cost, and service may be extended until Columbus Day, according to the report.
Part of the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority, the double-decker travels between Boston and Hyannis once a day each way on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays for $35 round trip.
