New Bus Stop to be Added to the HYCC

Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority adds a new stop at the Hyannis Youth and Community Center.

Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority Press Release:

HYANNIS – The Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority (CCRTA) announces that their Fixed Route service, The Barnstable Villager, will service the Hyannis Youth & Community Center on Bassett Lane at the new state-of-the-art bus shelter.

CCRTA Administrator, Tom Cahir stated “We continue to monitor all existing bus routes to ensure that convenient accessible transportation is available to all important population centers and facilities throughout the town.” Cahir further stated, “The new Hyannis Youth and Community Center is an extraordinary facility and we want to make it easier to get there without a car.”

Barnstable town officials worked very closely with CCRTA to improve the existing Barnstable Villager route and introduce the Hyannis Youth and Community Center as a new stop.

“The Town of Barnstable is pleased to be able to partner with the CCRTA to increase the transportation options for getting to the Hyannis Youth and Community Center. We appreciate the CCRTA's willingness to have a public transit bus stop right at the facility,” said Assistant Town Manager, Tom Lynch.

The HYCC is such a fantastic facility, and now it'll be even easier for people to get to. Looking forward to the new stop.
