Monday, Jan. 22

5:48 a.m. — Amateur spotters report winds hitting 39 mph in Hyannis overnight.

Tuesday, Jan. 21

9 p.m. — Spotters with the SKYWARN network report 5.5 inches of snow in Hyannis as of 8:40 p.m.

5 p.m. — All Bank of Cape Cod branches will open at 1 p.m. Wednesday, possibly later. For more, please see the item Mark Skala posted in our "Town Square" section. If you'd like to get the word out about your business' plans, it's easy to add a post. I'll highlight it here in the storm center, too.

4:55 p.m. — I scanned several forecasts. Barnstable looks to be in for at least eight inches of snow and possibly as many as 16.

11:03 a.m. — More than half the day's flights at Logan are already scrubbed.

Monday, Jan. 20

5:09 p.m. — A blizzard watch has been issued for the Cape and Islands, including Barnstable.

Barnstable is expected to receive a winter storm Tuesday, Jan. 21 and Wednesday, Jan. 22. This page will be updated throughout the storm with all the information you need.
