Monday, Jan. 22

5:48 a.m. — Amateur spotters report winds hitting 39 mph in Hyannis overnight.

Tuesday, Jan. 21

9 p.m. — Spotters with the SKYWARN network report 5.5 inches of snow in Hyannis as of 8:40 p.m.

5 p.m. — All Bank of Cape Cod branches will open at 1 p.m. Wednesday, possibly later. For more, please see the item Mark Skala posted in our "Town Square" section. 4:55 p.m. — I scanned several forecasts. Barnstable looks to be in for at least eight inches of snow and possibly as many as 16.

11:03 a.m. — More than half the day's flights at Logan are already scrubbed.

Monday, Jan. 20

5:09 p.m. — A blizzard watch has been issued for the Cape and Islands, including Barnstable.

Barnstable is expected to receive a winter storm Tuesday, Jan. 21 and Wednesday, Jan. 22. This page will be updated throughout the storm with all the information you need.
