Rockland Trust is Presenting Sponsor of the Cape Cod Baseball League 2014 Playoffs

Rockland Trust today announced its support of the Cape Cod Baseball League as a sponsor of the 2014 season and presenting sponsor of the League’s playoff games. The Cape Cod Baseball League, the premier amateur baseball league in the United States, runs from June 11 through August 3 in towns throughout Cape Cod, with playoffs running from August 5-13.  Rockland Trust will host player autograph signings and offer giveaways at its booth at select regular season and playoff games throughout the summer.

Started in 1885, the Cape Cod Baseball League had 256 alumni playing in Major League Baseball in 2013, while one in seven current Major League Baseball players are former members of the Cape Cod Baseball League. Players from colleges in all divisions across the country are recruited to the league, which college coaches and professional scouts cite as the best amateur summer league in America. This is Rockland Trust's second sponsorship of the league and the first time the Cape Cod Baseball League will have a presenting sponsor for its playoffs.
