MSPCA-Centerville Pet of the Week: AJ the cat

AJ is an incredibly affectionate 10-year-old flame point Siamese mix cat who has become a staff favorite at the MSPCA-Centerville Adoption Center.  He roams freely in the shelter’s cat room with the other rescued felines—rubbing noses and gently playing with his pals.  AJ has a sweet and friendly personality and his unique coloring garners lots of attention.

Unfortunately AJ was declawed by a previous owner and while the cruel procedure has left him with no emotional or psychological scars, it’s now essential that he live in a home (indoors only) with either no other pets or with friendly cats and dogs, as he has no means to defend himself against any kind of aggression.  The best news about AJ is that his adoption fee is only $50 because he is a senior cat and donors at The Ivan Smith Adoption Challenge have decided to subsidize the adoption fee of cats over the age of nine.
