Hyannis Elks Invite Military Families to Christmas Party

HYANNIS, MA ~ Due in part to a generous grant from the Elks National Veterans Service Commission , the Hyannis Elks Lodge held their annual Childrens Christmas Party on December 15th, with some special guests in attendance! Area active duty military personnel received an invitation from the Lodge to attend the Lodge's Christmas party where all the kids could meet Santa, play some reindeer games and have a bite to eat. Santa and his Elves were very busy, greeting 68 children! Each child received a gift from Santa, and also got to 'make their own' ice cream sundaes! "It was our pleasure to meet some of the most wonderful military families on Cape Cod!" said Alison Whitner, Lodge Trustee. "We hope they all know how much they are appreciated by our members. It was great to have them be a part of our Elks family celebration."

The Benevolent Protective Order of Elks is a fraternal organization that is dedicated to community service through charitable works involving youth programs and veterans services.
