White Shark Speaker, Cotuit Library Luncheon

Five things you need to know in Barnstable on Wednesday, September 18.

1. Wednesday will be sunny with a high around 69 in Barnstable, according to the National Weather Service.

2. Dr. Greg Skomal and the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy crew will speak at Cape Cod Beer, 1336 Phinney's Lane, Hyannis, on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. Tickets are $10 per person and the proceeds will be given to the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy.

3. The Cotuit Library Friends Luncheon and Program will be held Wednesday at 1 a.m. William Beebe, the grandson of library founder Lucy Morse, will speak.

4. The Barnstable School Committee will have a regularly scheduled meeting on Wednesday at 7 p.m.

5. The Marstons Mills Public Library Young Adult Book Club will meet at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.
