Thanksgiving Recess Begins in Barnstable Schools

Here are five things you want to know Wednesday, Nov. 27.
1. There is a 100 percent chance of rain in Barnstable on Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service. The daytime high will be around 61.
2. There will be no school Wednesday in the Barnstable Public Schools. The three-day recess is for the Thanksgiving holiday.
3. The Sturgis Library, the Hyannis Public Library and the Marsons Mills Public Library will all be closed on Wednesday.
4. There are no municipal meetings planned for the rest of the week in Barnstable.
5. The Cotuit Library will host a preschool story hour in Wednesday at 4 p.m.
