 l Society is sponsoring our first event - --National Train Day at the We
 st Barnstable Train Station on May 12\, 2012 from 9:00am to 4:00pm.&nbsp
 \; A 50-50 fundraiser drawing will be held.&nbsp\; Tickets are $5.00 for
  an arms-length of tickets.&nbsp\; Drawing will be at 4:00pm. &nbsp\;\nC
 ome meet our Stationmaster\, Officers and Directors\, tour the 100 year 
 old train depot and view the museum&rsquo\;shistorical exhibits and arti
 facts.&nbsp\; Learn about railroad safety with a presentation by Ed O&rs
 quo\;Connor from Operation Lifesaver and learn the history of the Cape C
 od rails.&nbsp\;&nbsp\; Children will be able to play with the model and
  Thomas the Train displays setup in the baggage room.&nbsp\; Cape Cod Ce
 ntral Railroad will send down railroad equipment for display on the sten
 cil track.&nbsp\; We also will run train videos in th baggage room.&nbsp
 \; &nbsp\;\nWe welcome new volunteers to join our group this year to hel
 p keep the old train station running and maintained.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;\nIn c
 onjunction with this event\, Cape Cod Central Railroad is having communi
 ty appreciation day for Barnstable residents.&nbsp\; Scenic Train Rides 
 departs at 9:25am and 12:25pm from the station.&nbsp\; Tickets are reduc
 ed prices.\nGuests of all ages are welcome.&nbsp\; Free parking. Donatio

  to know it can help make good things happen in the community by volunte

  come down\, learn how to assist on Saturdays.&nbsp\; Membership is $46.
  &nbsp\;We are looking for more folks&nbsp\;to become members.&nbsp\; Vo
 lunteers are always needed and it is a very rewarding experience.&nbsp\;
