Hidden Gems: Less-Known Museums of New England

Marstons Mills Public Library, 2160 Main St, Marstons Mills, MA | Get Directions »

Everyone knows about the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, the Museum of Science, the Clark Museum in Williamstown, and the Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge. But there are many other excellent museums in New England that you may not be aware of. Sue Martin, whose last vacation included a drive around much of New England, will talk about some of museums that are not on the normal vacation tour, showing images from these excellent collections.

Dr. Martin has been the director of the libraries at Johns Hopkins and Georgetown universities, and was the director of the Marstons Mills Public Library from 2003-2008.  She now works part-time at the library, and spends her free time traveling, cooking, and singing.

The program is free and open to the public.
