Living, Learning and Loving:

The Healing and Transformative Potential of Mindfulness in America

Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn will be offering a lecture for the benefit of Calmer Choice a non-profit organization bringing its stress reduction programs to the schools of Cape Cod.  Calmer Choice is committed to helping young people learn life long skills to manage stress, resolve conflict and develop inner resources to lead successful lives.

Dr. Kabat-Zinn is an internationally known scientist, writer and mindfulness teacher.  As founding executive director of the Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care and Society, Dr. Kabat-Zinn is engaged in bringing mindfulness practices, especially mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR), into the mainstream of medicine and society.  It is through his contributions to the field of mindfulness that Calmer Choice is able to introduce mindfulness practices to the children of Cape Cod through our classroom programs and collaborations with other youth initiative.

We look forward to sharing this special evening with you.  Tickets can be purchased on-line at www.calmerchoice.org.  For further information contact Theresa Egan at eganta1220@comcast.net or 508-420-5845.
