"Pippin" Hits Falmouth's Highfield Theater with a Blaze of Sights and Sounds

There's been "Magic to Do" as the Falmouth Theater Guild has prepared for this season's production of Pippin, opening Friday, April 27th.

The choreography is pure Fosse, and the amazing set is designed as a collection of oversized children's blocks.  The cast includes several major players new to the Falmouth stage -- a great way to get to know some of the awesome talent on the Cape.  The singing is tremendous, and the experience will "Spread a Little Sunshine" on your day.

But there's more!

I've been asked not to explain exactly what makes this production of Pippin unique, but suffice to say (based on a little insider info) - the Highfield Theater has seen a lot of amazing sets, lights and colors -- but it's never played host to anything quite like this.

For those who don't know the show, here's the gist:

Pippin is a classic tale of life and love, with a musical comedy twist.  Here's the gist: THE STORY: Once upon a time, the young prince Pippin longed to discover the secret of true happiness and fulfillment. He sought this in glories of the battlefield, the temptations of the flesh and the intrigues of political power. Will he find the secret of true happiness and fulfillment? This hip, tongue-in-cheek, anachronistic fairy tale captivated Broadway audiences and continues to appeal to the young at heart everywhere. We have all at sometime in our lives identified with Pippin's journey.
