Supporters of Elizabeth Warren for US Senate will be knocking on doors in Hyannis this Saturday, July 21st.  We've been doing this since mid -June on a regular basis in the 13 precincts of the Town of Barnstable and it's a fascinating experience.  It takes a little guts to go knock on a complete stranger's door.  But after the first few houses your psyche adjusts and you don't think anything of it!  The most frequent response we get is no answer!  But when someone does come to the door he or she is generally polite.  Most don't want to chit chat much.  But every week we hit some really strong supporters and undecideds all of whom want to hear more. 

Sure, we hit some Scott Brown advocates.  But generally speaking they are pleasant enough and just give us a quick brush off.  It's seldom personal!  

The dozen or so people who are doing this regularly are really committed to what Elizabeth Warren stands for.  If you wonder what that is check out her web site... just google her name and it's easy to find.  

Each one of us has "the thing we really care about."  For me it's that Scott Brown is helping Republicans focus on their leader's announced number one priority... getting rid of the Democratic President.  My number one priority is helping people. If Scott Brown wanted to do that he'd become a real independent instead of a man who helps Mitch McConnell squander the Senate's time by putting politics above progress.
