Will More Public Transportation Help Barnstable?

Where should Barnstable spend its money on public transportation?

On Thursday the State Senate passed a bill to continue investment in our transportation system, Senator Dan Wolf (D-Harwich) announced.

He said, “Our quality of life and economic well being depend on a modern, well functioning transportation system.”

The sponsoring senator said the bill is vital to improving infrastructure and we should continue to invest in our state-wide transportation system.

Last week, Executive Director of the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority Tom Cahir (CCRTA) appeared before the Town Council to talk about the various bus routes and services that are available to the public. His expertise and enthusiasm were noted by the council members (view his presentation to the Town Council here), according to Acting Town Manager Tom Lynch.
