Vote For Your Sunset/Sunrise Photo, Weekly Prize

Vote for your favorite sunrise/sunset photos in our Picture of the Week contest.

 

Patch readers certainly have a fantastic eye. Each one of these sunrise/sunset photos is beautiful. It will be a very difficult decision to single out one photo as the best. Thankfully, you the reader will help to make the choice by casting your vote.

All the pictures are numbered in the caption area.

Please vote by giving the photo number in the comments below.

Voting starts at 4 am Saturday, Aug. 4,  and will end at 9 a.m. Monday, Aug. 6. So get in your vote.

One vote per person, please.

The winner will be announced before 12pm on Monday.

Hingham editor Tony Catinella, representing the South Shore; Barnstable-Hyannis editor Jennifer Simckowitz, representing the Cape; and Martha's Vineyard editor Mathea Morais have contributed photos to get the ball rolling. These are unofficial entries.

This is part of Patch’s summer Picture of the Week series, where we’re asking you for your best pictures on a certain topic each week.

Next week's contest category will be scenes from nature.

We’ve added a little incentive. The winning submission will get a $75 gift card, plus bragging rights.

We’ll be taking photo submissions each week from 9 a.m. Tuesday through noon Friday. Voting will begin at 4 a.m. Saturday and end at 9 a.m. Monday, so make sure to check back over the weekend to vote for your favorite picture.

Would you be so kind as to remove my 2 submissions (and 1 non-submission) as I have had a change of heart. My concern is that my 2 entries may also someday be used to promote somebody else's business, without warning, permission or compensation as has happened recently. There are plenty of fine photos to vote for and good photographers seeking recognition. I wish them all well, as I wish to pursue other endeavors, thanks.
