Marstons Mills Women Arrested for Distribution of Marijuana and Unlawful Possession of Firearms

Barnstable police arrested two women from Marstons Mills and seized more than a pound and a half of marijuana, as well as four unlicensed guns on Wednesday afternoon.

The Barnstable Narcotics Detectives and Street Crime Unit arrested 59-year-old Tamlyn Mansfield and 62-year-old Karen Massoni after a month-long investigation related to the suspected distribution of marijuana.

According to police, during the course of the investigation, Mansfield and Massoni allegedly sold marijuana in a series of controlled purchases at 674 Wakeby Road in Marstons Mills.  On Wednesday afternoon, Ptl. Officer Pete Ginnetty obtained and executed a search warrant for the home.  As a result of the raid, police seized approximately one and a half pounds of marijuana with a street value of about $5,000, a digital scale, a .22 caliber rifle, a .357 revolver, a .22 caliber pistol, a .380 caliber pistol, and unspecified quantities of ammunition.

Barnstable police also seized several marijuana plants at the home and allegedly discovered a bathroom that was converted to a “grow room” for cultivation purposes.
