Nominate your favorite historical site in the comments; it might be voted a Readers' Choice later this summer.
If it's near and dear to your heart, Patch wants to know—tell us about the area's best place historical site.
Nominate your favorite historical site in the comments below. Once you do, Patch will officially add them to the running for best of the best—and later this summer, they may beat out the competition to become the number one Readers' Choice.
We will take nominations through July 9; voting begins July 23.

The West Barnstable Railroad Station - 101 years old, built July 7, 1911. This is one of the last operating New York, New Haven & Hartford railroad stations on the Cape! Historical museum, scenic train rides, and wholesome fun for all ages!

I'll second the West Barnstable Railroad Station. It's open Saturdays 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. late May through Columbus Day weekend. Admission is free, and its a great place to learn about the railroad history of the Cape, dating back to the 1820s! A great time to visit will be during the West Barnstable Village Festival August 18th.
