Project Playhouse

Yesterday's ribbon cutting ceremony for Project Playhouse is part of an initiative to raise money for homeless families on the Cape.

For the Housing Assistance Corporation, playhouses are not just about giving kids a place to goof around. Much to the contrary, playhouses are a tool to help secure funds for important programs geared towards helping homeless Cape families, and families that are at risk of becoming homeless.

Yesterday's ribbon cutting at Project Playhouse drew a crowd of children and adults alike. The initiative will hopefully raise $40,000 for program support, and help increase awareness of family homelessness on the Cape.

On Cape Cod, there are an estimated 1,000 children who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
