Precinct 3 Primary: It's a Tie

All three candidates will appear on the Nov. 8 ballot.

Nine percent of the voting population made it to the polls in Precinct three, ending the voting in a stalemate. Candidate Michael P. Hersey came out far ahead of incumbent James F. Munafo Jr. and Ryan C. Richardson tied with 52 votes.

"We are so pleased that people came out to vote in this preliminary election," said Mary Lyons of the Barnstable Coalition for Fair Government. "The results are a clear message that people in precinct 3 are unhappy with their town councilor."

HERSEY: 89

MUNAFO: 52

RICHARDSON: 52
