Police: Dennisport Man Arrested for Allegedly Breaking into Two Businesses

Dennis Police arrested Justin Emerald early this morning while investigating two burglaries in South Dennis. Emerald has a long record of break-ins and Yarmouth police believe these incidents may be connected to a string of recent break-ins in Yamouth.

Dennis police responded to a business alarm at 3:51 a.m. at All Cape Fence on Upper County Rd. in South Dennis, according to a press release. Officers found the building was broken into and that $200 in cash was taken from the register.

Officers then decided to check nearby businesses and saw Justin Emerald, 30, of Dennisport wearing a mask and crawling on the ground next to Pro Fence, also located on Upper County Rd.

Police caught up with Emerald after a brief foot chase and took him into custody. Police found Emerald had tools that can be used for burglary and $204 in cash on him.

In the past three months Police have seen a major spike in the number of break-ins to both homes and businesses in Dennis and Yarmouth. In Dennis alone there were more than 200 break-ins recorded since September 1, 2012.

Congratulations to the Police Department for doing a spectacular job arresting him as I'm sure everybody will see a tremendous drop in crime as he's put behind bars hopefully very very very very long time. He is scum!

Congrats to the Dennis officers who grabbed this piece of crap and got him off the street for at least a little while. I have his photo enlarged so I can see his face and remember it so should I see him walking near my home in Dennisport I know exactly who I need to follow. I will follow him to any place public so he becomes so uncomfortable with my pressence that he goes somewhere else. He won't be the first person I have chased around after in the neighborhood that seem to be up to nothing good. Stand up people and protect what you have and work hard for........
