TELL US: Paul Ryan-Joe Biden Debate: Who Do You Think 'Won'?

The sole vice-presidential debate is done; did either candidate change your mind?

Vice-President Joe Biden and Rep. Paul Ryan tackled issues and each other's positions in a brisk debate Thursday night, with ABC's Martha Raddatz moderating.

As the three of them sat around a table at Centre College in Danville, Kentucky, issues touched on ranged from the deficit and taxes to the war in Afghanistan and abortion.

On Friday, we'll hear from Republican and Democratic leaders and activists in Massachusetts about what they think about the debate.

But first, now, we want to hear from you. What did you think?

The infusion of passion by Biden is what the Democratic base needed after Obama's performance last week, but the big question is: How did it play with undecideds and independents?

My candidate did much better than the other guy. He had a better command of the facts.

Personally, I think my candidate did much better than yours. Did you notice how well he spoke? I think that there is no question that he won this debate!

Wow, once again the Dems are letting us Independants down. Was someone tickling Ole Joe?? I mean, this is serious stuff and he was as giddy and childish as an adolescent caught stealing bubble gum. Time for us to retire Ole Joe, 40 years in Washington as turned his brain into mush. And to think I supported him in his run for president. Whew!! Glad that didnt happen!!! Though, he couldnt do much worse than Barack Hussein Obama.

True to form; Joe Biden was a joke! He displayed a lack of manners and knowledge. Appeared to be a "blow hard old time politician". I had such a hard time watching his continuous foolish antics, that I almost turned off the debate which I waited all week to view. I am an independent and prior to this debate was somewhat undecided. Last night confirmed for me that there is no way I want a President who is an "empty suite" with no answers and a joker of a VP who is rude and a liar, to represent my country any longer!

It was deliberate what he did. The intent was to upset Ryan. Joe did not have anything to lose by doing this. The left wing liberal media loved it.
So expect this from Obama next time. It is a better show than standing there looking like you don't want to be there.

I think the question answered for the above poll displayed by Deborah Hart was. "who was more a buffoon, Biden or Ryan?" here are some legit snap polls...

CNN's snap poll finds that 48 percent of viewers think that Ryan won the debate, while 44 percent believe Biden won.

A CNBC snap poll shows a similar result, with 53 percent of respondents identifying Ryan as the winner. By contrast, 41 percent thought that Biden won, while 6 percent believed that neither won.

I read today that the CNN SNAP poll (giving a slight edge to Ryan) oversampled for Republican voters. Which I suppose would invalidate that result. Sorry, I do not have the reference at hand, but I suppose someone could look it up.

Finally someone called Ryan on his innumeracy and just plainmean spirited-ness. Joe summed it all up in one word, "Malarkey"
Biden 1 Ryan 0

How many times do Romney/Ryan need to say the truth before Obama/Biden admit they are lying. Again at the debate Ryan spoke the truth and Biden tried to cover it up with his fake smiles and rude interruptions. Examples:
Ryans plan for Medicare, a plan reached by both Repubs and Dems, in NOT a voucher plan. It will replace Obamacare with their death panel of non-medical appointed members who will decide who will live and die! I don't want my doctor to have to get approval for treatment he feels I might need. Get government out of my health care! Along that line, give the management of Medicaid back to the states as it was in the early sixties, and let the states have complete say about how to provide that medical care. After all, some of the Southern states had the best poor folk medical care in the country.

Let Romney appoint new Supreme Court Judges so the conserative court has a clear majority and can overturn many of the liberal decisions of the Warren court! Also, being a Christian country since our foundation, the "new" court would again allow God/Christian dogma back into our daily life, schools, and government.

Lastly, law the law down with regard to Iran. If they don't stop making a bomb within say, sixty days, we will consider that an act of war and will nuke them! We are the most powerful country in the world, time to let the world know it! Our way or the highway.

Ryan won the debate and God willing, Romney will replace that foreign president.

Biden acted like a child, with sneers and laughing........I think it is time the adults take over. I am not sure how it played out for Staunch democrats, but Biden was not very professional........

I would suggest that folks who care about getting an intelligent overview of the debate tune in this weekend to UP with Chris Hayes, the newish weekend morning show (8:00 - 10:00 am, both Saturday and Sunday, on MSNBC.) I may be sticking my neck out, since I obviously haven't seen this particular program, but based on past viewing, I would say it is the best new news analysis program, in which Hayes moderates a changing panel of four analysts. Whenever there is some wonky concept, Hayes does a good job in interjecting an explanation, so everyone can understand what is being said.

I think I will stick with FNC, however, it is interesting as how left CNN leans it said Ryan won...

Have seen that program and it reflects the channel it is on, the liberal bias MSNBC. If you want a view of what the far left believes, and the lies they spread, this is a good program to watch. Just give Fox News equal time so you can get the truth.

It has been said that facts have a liberal bias!

But seriously, no serious professional journalists consider Fox "News" to be a credible news organization. It is considered to be a bought and paid for propaganda arm of the Republican Party, courtesy of Rupert Murdoch and Ailes.

I find watching Fox News to be painful, because it is clear they are pandering to a very uninformed audience. I find them insulting to my (such as it is) intelligence. It is not their rightwing point of view; I simply find them insufferably, well, smug, self-satisfied, and rather stupid. They seem to take for granted that their viewers will not be irritated my their logical inconsistencies and dubious "reporting."

And watching Fox News on a regular basis, makes one more misinformed, over time. The lowest of any of the major networks. Look up the research!!!

Fallout flows west to east. Geography.

OllieD

Matt - glad you agree. As for fallout, two ways to look at it. One, surrounding countries would be casualties of war. More realistically, use bunker buster bombs that explode deep within the earth much like an underground test explosion so fallout would be limited to surrounding area. Besides, look at Iran, Iraq, Syria, the only way they will do what we want is through the threat or use of deadly force.

Yes, Mass has had health care for a period of time now, and it has its problems. To expand this idea to the whole country is absurd. Besides, as Romney has said, we have the best medical system in the world and everyone is covered. If someone is ill, they can go to the emergency department and get medical care for no cost. If those people want better care, they can go out and get a job and buy it. That's what M. Romney did! Enough of these freeloaders.

Ollie you really don't understand sarcasm do you. When I said we should nuke Iran. What I love about you republicans the most is you talk about teaching kids about god and in the same breath you talk about killing millions of people. How soon you seem to forget the commandment about Thou shalt not kill. And what is wrong with Mass health what is wrong with helping the less fortunate? Isnt that another one of gods teachings?
