Five Things You Need To Know Today: May 2

  3. Marstons Mills Public Library jewelry sale and Mother's Day raffle continues today through the rest of the week.
  4. This week - May 2 - 8 - more than 250 restaurants, bakeries, cafés and chocolate shops throughout Massachusetts will participate in Boston Bakes for Breast Cancer, including Centerville Pie Company, The Regatta of Cotuit, La Petite France Café, Not Your Average Joe's, Pain D'Avignon Bakery and Café, The Steak House and British Beer Company. From Monday, May 2, through Mother's Day on Sunday, May 8, the pastry chef at these Barnstable and Hyannis area restaurants will bake a unique dessert to put on the menu. Desserts start at $3.00 and 100% of sales will benefit breast cancer research and care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Just ask your server about it!
