Mass DOT and the Town of Barnstable are holding a public hearing to figure out how to fix the stretch of Route 28 from Bearse's Way to the Cape Cape Cod Mall after two people have died in the area during the last four years, according to the town.

At 6pm on Wednesday at Town Hall, Mass DOT and town and county officials will be on hand to begin the discussions. 

According to the Cape Cod Times, officials also hope to improve the Bearse's Way intersection - ranked as the 10th most dangerous in accidents on the Cape Cod Commission's list.
