Main St. Hyannis Storefront Getting a Makeover
Puritan Clothing on Main St. in Hyannis is in the process of renovating the store’s exterior.
The building housing Puritan clothing was built in 1929. The current façade of Puritan Clothing on Main St. was done in 1956.
Rick Penn President of Puritan Clothing said the goal of the current renovation is to bring the building back to its original splendor.
“One of our goals is to bring it back to its original beauty and also to have a dominant entrance,” Penn said.
Once the renovation is complete the windows and awnings on the exterior will be more uniform. Work is expected to wrap up in May just in time for the summer season.
“We think it’s going to be a wonderful addition to the company and to Main St.,” Penn said.
