High Wind Watch in Effect Tonight Through Saturday Evening
Cape and Islands could see winds up to 50 mph
The National Weather Center has issued a High Wind Watch for the Cape Cod and the Islands from late tonight through tomorrow evening.
There is the potential for strong damaging winds from the west at 25 – 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph in Barnstable and the rest of the Cape.
Winds will increase through the evening and be strongest during the day on Saturday.
A high wind watch means there is the potential for strong, damaging winds that are capable of downing trees and power lines as well as causing property damage.
