Centerville Library Celebrates Groundbreaking

The Centerville Library broke ground on its multimillion dollar expansion project.

Once the renovation project is completed the library will more than double in size, going from its current 5 thousand square feet to more than 12 thousand square feet.

Plans include new handicapped accessible restrooms, an outdoor patio space, an elevator and other features. Architect Rick Fenuccio said plans will keep the library’s tradition while updating the space.

During the ceremony Library Director Beth Butler, Dr. Cormac Coyle and wife Sheila Coyle spoke about the need for expansion.

The capital campaign has raised more $2.2 million for the project. The library is nearing its goal of raising $2.7 million dollars.
