BHS Teacher Wants Kids to Escape on Cape

A BHS Physical Education Teacher wants kids and their parents to explore the Cape while living healthful lifestyles.

Barnstable High School Physical Education teacher Barbara Gleason couldn't help but spill over the theme of living a healthful lifestyle into her latest book great esCapes, a children's book about discovering the beautiful towns on the Cape.

The underlying message of the book is to get children and their families or friends to practice healthy habits such as exercise, relieving stress and eating healthy, Gleason said.

Gleason hopes that watching the character in the book will help foster a child's love for reading, exploration, imagination and activity.
