Barnstable Town Operating Budget Approved
The Barnstable Town Council approved budgets for the schools, airport, public works and growth management.
On Thursday the town council was presented with the FY 2013 Operating Budget to the Town Council. The Council approved the Police, Barnstable Public Schools, Barnstable Municipal Airport, Department of Public Works and Growth Management Department budgets.
The budget workshops and presentations provide each department heads an opportunity to explain changes in their budgets, show past accomplishments and discuss objectives for the next fiscal year. There are several department budgets left to review and they will be taken up at the next regularly scheduled Town Council meeting on Thursday, June 21.
