Governor Deval Patrick has ordered the US flag to be lowered at all main or administration buildings of each public institution in the state.
American flags around Barnstable will lower to half mast to pay tribute to the Wisconsin Temple Shooting victims today.
Governor Deval Patrick has ordered the US flag to be lowered at all main or administration buildings of each public institution of the state.
"What happened in Oak Creek was an unthinkable tragedy, and we want the people of Wisconsin, as well as the Sikh community to know MA stands behind the victims and the families as they bear this horrific loss. All flags are lowered to half-staff effective immediately until sunset on Friday, August 10, in honor of the victims," Patrick said.
On Sunday in Oak Creek, WI, army veteran Wade Michael Page shot and killed six people and wounded four in a Sikh temple. The shooting rampage also left four wounded.
This is the second time Hingham has lowered the flag at half staff in the last month. It was also done in late July to pay tribute to the victims of the movie shooting in Aurora, CO.
