Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network coming to Cape Cod on May 17

Verizon Wireless announced today it will introduce the nation’s largest 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) network in Barnstable, and six additional communities throughout Upper and Mid-Cape Cod, on May 17.

 

Verizon Wireless customers with compatible 4G LTE smartphones, modems, tablets and mobile hotspots will be able to wirelessly share music and photos, surf the Web, and download files up to 10 times faster than customers on 3G networks.

 

Verizon Wireless’ new 4G LTE network initially will be available in the following towns and villages across the Cape:

  • Barnstable, including Villages of:
    • Barnstable
    • Centerville
    • Cotuit
    • Hyannis
    • Marstons Mills
    • Osterville
    • West Barnstable
    • Bourne
    • Dennis
    • Falmouth
    • Mashpee
    • Sandwich
    • Yarmouth

HAH!!! Ask me if I believe this. I'm in West Dennis, and can't get a decent 3G signal, never mind a 4G!!! And that goes for my phone also!

One other thing, how come I can get a 4 bar signal on my Kindle, but not on anything Verizon?
