The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod Launches Free Financial Seminar Series
The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod will launch a spring seminar series this month with workshops on financial and business topics. The series is geared towards individuals with diverse financial needs and addresses topics such as mortgage shopping, investing and branding. There is also a special “Meet the Banker” program just for children.
The series kicks off on Thursday, March 22 from 6-7 PM with a seminar called Shop For Your Home Mortgage. The class will offer a 101 on the mortgage process, giving home buyers the tools they need to shop for their mortgage, whether it’s their first or fifth. The class will be held in the community room at The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod’s branch at 295 Cotuit Road in Sandwich. Attendees will leave with a handout containing helpful information.
The series continues on Thursday, March 29 from 6-7 PM with Investing For Income, an introduction to investment products designed to produce income. It will offer insight into what to look for, how to get started and how to add to an investment portfolio. The seminar will be held at The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod’s Hyannis branch at 695 Attucks Lane.
On Thursday, April 5, from 6-7 PM, the bank presents Establishing A Differentiated & Enduring Brand. Geared for small business owners and entrepreneurs, the seminar will look at the power of branding. It will address issues like how to build a brand that attracts customers to your business, understanding your competition’s strengths and weaknesses, understanding who your customer really is and what they want, developing and delivering a differentiated business proposition, and creating marketing communications that clearly and consistently articulate that difference. The seminar will look at how The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod and other companies have successfully (or not) taken these steps to build an enduring brand. It will be held at The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod’s headquarters located at 25 Benjamin Franklin Way in Hyannis.
There is no cost to attend the seminars and light refreshments will be served. Additionally, a Kindle Fire will be given away at each Thursday seminar. To reserve a spot or for more information, contact Sarah Ruder at 508-568-3215 or sruder@mycapecodbank.com. Advance reservations are recommended as seating is limited.
Additionally, the bank is launching an ongoing Meet the Banker and Learn About Savings! program for children ages 6-14. Groups of all sizes are invited to visit any of the bank’s branches to tour the branch, visit the vault, meet the bankers, and learn the fundamentals of saving. Children will leave with a coloring book and crayons, a savings passbook with a $20 coupon if they open a savings account with a parent, and a better understanding of the banking process. Light refreshments will also be served. The series is open to school groups, Boys & Girls Clubs, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts and any groups or children interested in learning more about banking. To schedule a visit, contact Sarah Ruder at 508-568-3215 or sruder@mycapecodbank.com.
