Mashpee Resident Named Director of BAYADA Home Health Care in Hyannis

Mashpee resident Mary Jo Seguin, RN, has been named director of the BAYADA Home Health Care office in Hyannis, which provides Medicare-certified services – including nursing and therapy – to adults and seniors.

Seguin, a wound ostomy continence nurse (WOCN) who was born and raised on Cape Cod, has been with BAYADA since 2010. She was most recently the clinical manager for the company’s Hyannis office, and also provided nursing care for clients out of its Falmouth office.

“Mary Jo’s commitment to our clients and clinical excellence is second to none,” said Maureen Hixon, RN, division director for BAYADA in Massachusetts. “She is dedicated to helping people remain safe at home with comfort, independence, and dignity, and I’m confident she will help us provide high quality services to more and more people on the Cape.”

Seguin has more than 20 years of experience in home health care. Before joining BAYADA, she was a nursing supervisor and WOCN for Caritas Home Care. Prior to that, she was a wound care nurse for the VNA of Cape Cod.

"I was drawn to BAYADA because of its mission, values, professionalism, and commitment to quality,” Mary Jo said. “My heart has always been in home health care, where I know I can make a difference in people’s lives. I am excited to help more people in the area receive high quality home health care services delivered with compassion, excellence, and reliability.”

Seguin earned her RN degree from the State University of New York at Canton, and her wound ostomy continence certificate from Emory University in Atlanta. She also has a bachelor’s degree in education from Framingham (Massachusetts) State College.

Founded in 1975 by J. Mark Baiada, BAYADA Home Health Care provides nursing, rehabilitative, therapeutic, hospice, and assistive care services to children, adults, and seniors in the comfort of their homes. Headquartered in suburban Philadelphia, BAYADA employs more than 17,000 nurses, home health aides, therapists, medical social workers, and other home health care professionals who serve their communities in 24 states and India from more than 240 offices.
