Busses Now Available for Free Homework Tutoring

Need help with your homework? Are you in grade 4 through 12 and live in Hyannis? Need a ride?

No worries, school busses are set to take school kids to the Hyannis Youth and Community Center beginning Monday, Feb. 6 for any and all students who need help with their homework. The program is being run - at no cost to participants - by the Hyannis Supporting Our Youth Task Force under the auspices of the Greater Hyannis Civic Association.

Homework help is available in the United Cultures Resource Room in the Community Center, Mondays through Thursdays, from 3:00 to 5:30 p.m. The two busses that are on schedule to help kids get the tutoring they need are the "Iyannough" and "West Barnstable" and both will be running from the Barnstable Horace Mann Charter School.

The only requirement for students who need help is a signed permission slip, which was due on Tuesday, Jan. 31. The program is still looking for volunteers, as well.

If interested in helping out or if you have any questions, please feel free to contact Moira Bundschuh at moirabundschuh@gmail.com.
