Barnstable Senior Awarded 2012 Honey Dew Donuts Scholarship

Each year Honey Dew Donuts awards more than $25,000 in scholarship money to graduating high school seniors from Honey Dew Donuts franchise communities throughout New England.  This year, West Barnstable resident and Barnstable High School Senior Timothy Bilouris is one of approximately 100 area students selected to receive a 2012 Honey Dew Donuts Scholarship of $250.

To be eligible, Bilouris had to demonstrate academic excellence by maintaining a grade point average of B- or better, be accepted into a four-year accredited college or university, and participate in community service activities.

“With shops throughout New England, our Scholarship Program has a wide reach within Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New Hampshire,” says Honey Dew Donuts® Founder Richard Bowen.  “We’re happy to be able to help so many deserving students in our local communities offset the cost of books and other expenses as they begin their college careers.”

Honey Dew Donuts has awarded more $225,000 to over 800 graduating high school seniors in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island since the inception of the company’s scholarship program in 1999.
