Barnstable Girl Scouts raise some Cookie Dough for their troop

Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts is proud to announce that Barnstable Girl Scout Amanda Quast sold 503 boxes and Lianna Mitchell sold 1,811 of Girl Scout cookies this year. The Girl Scout Cookie program allows girls to set goals, learn money management, and develop marketing skills. The activity of selling cookies is directly related to the organization’s purpose of helping all Girl Scouts realize their full potential and become strong, confident and resourceful citizens. Girl Scout troops use proceeds from selling cookies to fund service projects or plan an exciting trip. With the money the girls earned from selling cookies, Amanda’s troop is planning a Mother/daughter Gal’s night out camping trip and Lianna will attend Girl Scout camp this summer.
